The Wisdom of Slowing Down

Gentleness has its own pace

St. Francis knew that peace cannot grow in a rushed soul. A restless heart always wants the next thing: the next answer, the next achievement, the next season of life. But St Francis learned to walk with God instead of running ahead of Him.
Not everything needs to happen immediately.
Some prayers take time.
Some wounds take time.
Some callings unfold slowly, one faithful step at a time.
The sun does not rush to rise.
The seasons do not rush to change.
And God does not rush the work He is doing within you.
Many people destroy their peace because they cannot wait.
Francis teaches us that patience is not weakness, it is trust.
Slow down.
Be faithful where you are.
Let God finish what He started in you without forcing the outcome.
Holy things are rarely built in haste.
