No Looking Back
St Francis didn’t live with one foot in the past and one in the future. When he chose a new life, he fully chose it. He let go of comfort, of status, of the old version of himself and never looked back. Not because the past didn’t matter, but because it no longer had power over his direction. We often stay stuck revisiting old mistakes, old identities, old wounds. But growth begins the moment we stop turning around. You can’t walk a new path while constantly glancing behind you.
A few simple ways to live this out:
🔹️ Let go of what no longer aligns with who you’re becoming.
🔹️ Stop replaying past failures, they’ve already taught you what you needed.
🔹️ Make decisions and trust them instead of second-guessing yourself.
🔹️ Focus your energy on what’s ahead, not what’s gone.
Moving forward doesn’t mean forgetting, it means trusting that God is doing something new in you. Don’t look back. There’s nothing there for you anymore.
